Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

Should you elect to accept the payment terms set out hereunder, these terms & conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Cousine Island.

  • A service charge fee of 5% is excluded on all total invoice amounts payable to Cousine Island

  • All rates exclude value added TAX at the prevailing rate of 15% are is subject to change at determination of the Seychelles Government. The rate confirmed at the time of booking will be invoiced


Transfers & Charters

Sea transfers are not recommended during the months of May to October due to weather conditions and lively seas.

By sea

Mahé — Cousine

  • Boat transfers between Mahé Island and Cousine Island is approximately 1.5 hours

  • Catamaran/yacht transfers between Mahé Island and Cousine Island is approximately 2.5 hours

Praslin — Cousine

  • Boat transfer between Praslin Island and Cousine Island is approximately 20-30 minutes

  • Catamaran/yacht transfers between Praslin Island and Cousine Island is approximately 20-30 minutes

Other Inner Islands Transfers
Transfers to and from other inner islands are available — Times from other islands will vary. Rates are available upon request — please contact our travel designers for a quote

If the catamaran/yacht cannot sail due to weather conditions, Cousine Island cannot be held liable for overnight accommodation on Mahé, Praslin, Cousine Island or any other island. Clients are advised to take out travel insurance for such a possibility

By air

Helicopter transfers can be booked with Cousine Island directly.

Rates are provided for EC 120 1-4 passengers. These rates are non-commissionable. Quotations for helicopter transfers to and from other destinations can be obtained upon request from Cousine Island.

A combined maximum passenger & baggage weight of 400kg is allowed. Please be advised that additional helicopter transfer charges will be incurred for overweight baggage. These transfers are subject to helicopter availability.

Helicopter transfer between Mahé and Cousine is approximately 17-20 minutes, and Praslin to Cousine is approximately 5 minutes. Island sightseeing helicopter tour times will vary.

Rates are available upon request for helicopter transfers to Cousine Island & sightseeing tours of the Seychelles

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

If the catamaran/yacht or helicopter transfer/excursion booked is cancelled due to weather conditions, Cousine Island cannot be held liable for overnight accommodation on Mahé, Praslin, Cousine Island or any other island. Clients are advised to take out travel insurance for such a possibility.
All transfers to and excursions from Cousine Island must be booked directly through Cousine Island reservations.

Check in & Check out Times

If an early check in or late check out needs to be guaranteed prior to travel, the full nightly rate for the night before or after must be paid in order to secure the villa

Check in

11:00 / 11:00 am

If the villas are available on arrival then an earlier check-in will be allowed at no additional cost

Check out

14:00 / 02:00 pm

If the villa is not required for a check-in on the day of departure, a late check-out will be allowed at no additional charge

Late check out for group bookings will be charged as an extra night

If an early check-in or late check-out needs to be guaranteed prior to travel, then the full rate per night before or after must be paid in order to secure the booking


Payment Policy

  • More than 120 days prior to travel –20% of the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island and is non-refundable to confirm a booking.

  • Between 120 and 90 days prior to travel –50% of the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable to confirm a booking.

  • Within 90 days and less to travel –100% of the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable to confirm a booking.

  • No show –100% of the total booking value will be charged & payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable.

  • As per our Cancellation Policy, in the event that clients would need to reschedule their booking, they may do so within 12 months of their original booking.

  • Applies to all online bookings.

Cancellation Policy

  • More than 120 days prior to travel — no cancellation fee

  • Between 120 & 90 days prior to travel — 50% of the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island

  • Within 90 days and less prior to travel — 100% of the booking value is payable to Cousine Island

  • No show — 100% of the booking value will be charged & payable to Cousine Island

  • Also applies to all online bookings

  • Guests are kindly advised to purchase a travel insurance policy covering refunds of cancellation deposit.


Important Information

  • Where a deposit has been paid and the reservation is subsequently cancelled by Cousine Island due to a failure to pay the balance outstanding, the deposit paid will be forfeited to Cousine Island.

  • In the event that a reservation is cancelled by the client for any reason, such cancellation must be made in writing and will only be effective upon written acknowledgement by Cousine Island’s receipt of the notification of cancellation. In such instance, the client and/or agent is liable for the cancellation charges incurred.

  • Failure to arrive or any cancellations made after the departure date, Cousine Island will be entitled to treat the reservation as cancelled without giving notice and 100% of the tour price as a cancellation fee will apply (including repatriation and any administrative fees incurred by Cousine Island as a result of such cancellation, including but not limited to cancellations due to ill health or injury). In such an instance Cousine Island will apply its discretion should extenuating circumstances exist.

Currency

The Euro will be used as the currency to determine the rates for Cousine Island. All major foreign currencies will be accepted for payment, which will be converted to the Euro on presentation of the final invoice for payment and exchanged at an accepted international exchange rate determined by major financial institutions at the time of presentation

Additional payment

All extras to be settled in the office at least 90 minutes prior to departure

Payment for expenses that occur on Cousine Island can be settled as below:

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • American Express

  • Cash in major foreign currency determined by Cousine Island

All credit card transactions will incur a 3%-5% surcharge applied to the TAX inclusive total on the invoice at the point of payment upon departure


Damages to Cousine Island Property

Damages to Cousine Island property will be payable and Cousine Island is authorised to take a credit card payment prior to guests departure from Cousine Island to satisfy the damages
