When To Go To The Seychelles

If you are wondering when to go to the Seychelles on holiday you should know that the seasons in the Seychelles are defined by the trade winds. These bring warmer, wetter airstreams from the northwest from October to April. From May to September the southeast trades bring in cooler, drier weather but will whip up the waves making this time of year great for sailing enthusiasts. The periods between March and April and October to November are normally calm and windless. The islands of Mahé and Silhouette have the most rainfall and January is by far the wettest month. The Seychelles lie out of the cyclone zone. Peak holiday season in the Seychelles is from December to January and from July to August.
