Seychelles Tourism Information – Public Holidays

The Seychelles Tourism Board provides important information for travellers regarding activities, the best times to travel to the Seychelles, flights, and traveller’s essentials. You will for instance, find information about blankets, tipping, electricity and more at the Seychelles Tourism Board website. Information at their site that you will also find useful is that of public holidays in the Seychelles. There are in total 12 public holidays of which seven are religious holidays. The important dates are that of 1 and 2 January for New Year’s Day; 1 May for Labour Day; 5 June for Liberation Day; 18 June for National Day, and 29 June for Independence Day. The religious holidays fall on the following dates:

• 10 April for Good Friday
• 12 April for Easter Sunday
• 11 June for Corpus Christi
• 15 August for Assumption Day
• 1 November for All Saint’s Day
• 8 December for Immaculate Conception Day
• 25 December for Christmas.
