And the hatchlings keep coming…

After 6 months of turtle season and 4 months of releasing them it is still a privilege and a sight to see all the little turtle hatchlings going down to sea.

No matter how rough the waves are, how strong the wind is, whether it is raining or baking hot, these little turtles know exactly where they are going and nothing will get in their way. Watching them during rough seas being washed back by the waves, they simply seem to shake themselves off, turn back towards the sea and determinedly march straight back towards it.

After having released the first 18 445, we have many more nests still incubating. Luckily for these little determined creatures our inter-monsoon weather means the loveliest calm seas for those yet to be released.
